Check Arlo and Base Station Connection

  • Ensure that the Base Station or SmartHub is plugged in correctly and is fully powered up.
  • Try a different wall outlet to plug in the Base Station.
  • Ensure that there is an ideal distance between the two devices. Arlo camera and Base Station should be at least 10 feet apart and the maximum distance between them can be 300 feet.
  • Check that the Ethernet cable connected from the router to the Base Station is securely connected. If the router is not able to provide proper signals to the Base Station, you will have an issue connecting the camera to the Base Station.
  • Use a different Ethernet cable to make the connection between the Base Station and router.
